Two years ago, I adopted Red — a golden retriever who changed the shape of what I wanted my life to look like.
I'd wanted dogs around me for as long as I can remember. For years, life kept finding reasons why it wasn't the right time. So it stayed a someday thing.
When I finally got the chance, I started fostering — dog-sitting for friends, taking in whoever needed somewhere to land. Then came Red, who arrived with a long list of health concerns. Watching her heal and thrive taught me how much a dog's whole life can change with the right person showing up for them. I want to do more of that.
For a long time, my career — the one I'd worked hard for, the one that looked good on paper — didn't leave room for any of it. Long hours, a calendar that belonged to someone else, a version of success that had no real space left for the things that actually made me feel like myself.
So I built Daftar Partners — an outsourced finance practice for business owners. It combines the work I'm genuinely great at with the chance to finally do more of what I actually want: give back to the dogs who've given me so much.
Red's with me for all of it — asleep under my desk through the late nights, the spreadsheets, every small win along the way. She's as much a part of building this as I am.
And that's exactly what I want to be for my clients — the partner who takes the stress of their daftar off their plate, so they're free to focus on whatever it is they actually want. Their people. Their pets. Their passions. Themselves.
